Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all well and happy!!

This week has been a great week. I filmed my new video clip for the latest single “The Truth About Lies”. It was directed by Duncan Toombs. Dunc is in my band and an incredible guitar player too! He was so fantastic!! Never seen that side of him!! You know, bossing lots of extras etc around!! He also had on hand 2 other camera men. One was another well known musician and video director, Glen Wilson. (I was so excited!!) and the other guy was the first person I ever recorded with when I was only about 16 in my home town of Toowoomba! Shane Cantely. (Sorry about the spelling Shane!) Wow now that was a time warp!! We went to school together and Shane was always this really arty talented kid that I found fascinating!!

Anyway, it doesn’t stop there! Dunc needed a gaffer (person that does heaps of stuff on a video shoot) so he got Mal Lancaster, the drummer out of my band!!! It was funny seeing those beautiful musicians doing something totally different! Also, Dunc’s beautiful wife, Amanda took the photos. (I’ll show you on the website next week!) And an up and coming country music singer, Cat Southern organised the actors and just generally helped out! It seemed like a huge crew and then the extras showed up! We used real actors. (You know me, I normally just use my friends and family as the extras!!) But we needed these people to really be able to act!

We got home at about 4.00 am and my son woke up at 5.30 so I was a very tired girl the next day!! The clip should be out on CMC and on my website in the next few weeks so keep an eye out! Make sure you take special note of my dress!! Once you have seen the clip I will tell you the story behind this magnificent ball gown and I am sure you will laugh when you find out what it actually is!!!

Anyway, back to the real world. We had the most wonderful little family holiday the other day with our good friends Matt and Sue and their little girls. Jackson had an absolute ball!! We went horse riding (I was quite nervous really and my horse kept stopping to eat and poo!) Then we went on a dolphin cruise and swam in the boom net. (Our favourite bit!) But the most exciting thing of all was paddling canoes out the front of Rod’s parents house and we found 3 dolphins that happily swam around us! Wow!! It was one of those moments you will never forget!! And I am sure little Jackson will remember it forever too!! He was so excited! But now he is very tired!!!! And so am I !

I have to go upstairs again and pack for another Songbirds tour in Queensland. Same old story! Picture me jamming as much as I possibly can into my suitcase!!

Until next week!

Live well, Laugh often and Love much!!

Hi everyone!
Hope this letter finds you well and happy!!

Last weekend the Songbirds did a show in Sydney at Revesby Workers club. It was great fun as always! It was Sara’s (Sara Storer) birthday so some of our beautiful fans (Jill and Deb) bought her a chocolate birthday cake so there was cake for all back stage and much appreciated!!! My best friend Nat and her friend Jacqueline came and ran the Songbirds shop so that was nice to have them there!

Tomorrow night I am filming my new video clip for “The Truth About Lies”. I am really looking forward to it! Duncan Toombs (Guitar player in my band and very talented video director) is filming it. I am so excited! He has some great ideas!!!! I will let you know how it goes!

I joined a tennis group last week!!! I am very average at tennis but it was just a bit of a hit and giggle!! Jackson comes with me and gets to play with lots of kids so I am loving that we can do something together with exercise and play!!

Speaking of Jackson, I have a funny little story for you! The other day Rod (my hubby) swore. (just a little bit!) and I said, “Ooh naughty Daddy!!!” Well Jackson has remembered that moment and he said to me, “Hey Mum, remember when Daddy swore the other day? Well what swear word did he say?” I said I don’t remember and he said, “Well Mummy can you just tell me all the swear words you know and I will tell you which one it was!” Ha Ha we laughed a lot!! Oh I love kids!!!! Anyway, until next week!

Live well, laugh often and Love much!!

Love Gina x

PS Thanks for all the lovely messages of congrats for my Aria nomination! I am thrilled!!

Diary Entry #33
1 October 2007

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all well and happy! Well I can’t tell you how glad I am to see the end of Winter!! I seem to have caught every bug going around this year and I am feeling fantastic today and hoping it’s the end of the flu season and the beginning of glorious weather and fun times!!

Today is the most beautiful day!! We just waved goodbye to our very good friends Katrina and David and their beautiful children, Olivia and William. They visited from interstate this week and we had some great laughs and fun. Katrina and I have been friends since we were 16 (that is a very long time!!!) We all went to the Zoo the other day!!
Wow!! Jackson just loved it!! I actually think it was probably his favourite thing he has ever done so far in his young life!! He was just the right age and was totally mesmerised by the giraffes, elephants, zebras, monkeys!!! Too many to even have a favourite I think!!!

Last week the Songbirds travelled to my home town Toowoomba (Did I already tell you this last week??) Anyway it was heaps of fun!! This week we have a show in Sydney. I am pretty sure before the show we are doing a photo shoot all together for the Womens Weekly for January so watch out for that one. The show should be fun. We haven’t done a full show in a while (Toowoomba was a shorter concert…) So we love when we get to be on stage longer.

I got to hear a new song off Sara Storers new album. Sounds fantastic!! I am sure you will love it. Beccy is also releasing her live album. It is wonderful! I know you will love it!!There is talk of The Songbirds recording a live DVD. They are looking at venues etc. I will let you know what happens!

Ooh Jut remembered I was going to tell you about my new lounges!!! Last week I signed off just as the truck was coming down the driveway. Well I rang my Mum and Dad and my best friend Nat and got them all to come over for the unveiling!!! We very nervously unwrapped them (little bit worried they may have been the wrong colour) and da da!! They are perfect!!!! I love them!! Chocolate brown and very stylish!! I am still so excited every time I see them!!! I did very well!! Everyone doubted me!! (Well I did buy them sight unseen, never sat in them and never saw the colour, so I guess it could have been a disaster!!!!) But it was perfect! Now I have the confidence to buy something else on line!!! Ohh Rod is worried now!!!

Anway I must go and wash my little boys hands!! He has been finger painting beside me. (He just told me it’s a “masterpiece”!!!) I love it when he comes out with those big words!! So cute!!!
Gotta go!

Until next week!
Live Well, Laugh often and Love Much!!!
