Hope you are all keeping warm in these cold winter months!!!!

Well as you may have noticed, I really haven’t been dong too much touring this year. It was a decision we made to mostly stay home at the moment and really enjoy our beautiful little boy this year being his last year before he starts school next year!

I am enjoying more than ever having weekends off and just being regular people!! We love going to soccer every Saturday and watching Jackson play!! He is a real little star!!!! He is in the under 5’s and it’s just the cutest thing you have ever seen!!! They all chase the ball like bees around a honey pot!! I am a soccer Mum!!!

I am still dong some charity work and enjoying that and looking forward to a few appearances over the next few months. When I sit down and think about it, I have been touring for almost all of my adult life and for some people that gives them itchy feet if they stand still for too long, but for me it has had the opposite effect and I just love to be at home!!
It really is lovely not constantly being in a rush and emptying out a suitcase only to fill it back up again!! Now don’t get me wrong, I am not retiring or anything like that, just really enjoying the moment!

I do miss seeing all of your faces!! Some of you over the years have become like a family we only see when we get to your town, and that was always a lovely feeling seeing your familiar faces!!! Really always made me feel special!! Keep an eye on my website for upcoming gigs, coz there a few there and I would love to see you!!

As I write this I am preparing for a fund raising concert on the Central Coast of NSW with the Songbirds, Kasey Chambers, Adam Harvey and a swag of others which should be fun!! I can’t wait to see all of my old mates again!!

Just last week, I travelled up to a girl’s night out with Beccy Cole, the girls from Bella and a heap of other wonderful women!! What fun!!! We were just celebrating how wonderful it is to have girlfriends in our lives!! One of my best friends is a dance instructor and she taught us all a hip hop routine!! What fun!!! We decided that us girls who are singers shouldn’t have to do all the entertaining!!!

Anyway, I hope your life is wonderful right now and you are happy and healthy!!

I am loving life more than ever and feel fit and fabulous at forty!!!!
(Yes I had a big birthday since I saw you last!!!)

PS Heard a great saying at my girl’s night out for us women….. “Women are like tea bags. You never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water!”
