Diary Entry #52
October 2009
Bula everybody!!!
Well we are home from our wonderful Fiji holiday!
We had the most amazing time. We snorkelled, hung out in hammocks, played, ate yummy food and drank way too much champagne!!
I can’t ever remember feeling so relaxed!
I think with age has come (at last!) patience and being able to enjoy the moment. We savoured every little thing we did, the time went so slowly, (Fiji time!) and we came home feeling truly refreshed.
Each night after a delicious meal we would dance (even the boys!) and I did end up on stage a few times singing!! (Had my wobbly boots on though!)
Still feeling the relaxing after effects of the holiday, it was back to school for a few weeks for Jackson and then school holiday!!
Ahh life is great!!!
Rod and I went up to the Hunter Valley for the long weekend for Rod’s best friends 50th birthday. Wow that was fun!! We love Al so much!! (Though can’t believe our friends are that old!!! Ha ha!!!!)
In between all the fun bits, Rod has been working really hard finshing off Adam Harvey’s new album. It is fantastic!! You will love it!!! It’s duets of classic hit songs!!! Really wonderful!
Rod is also almost finished the Yellow Wiggle, Sam Moran’s new album.
It is an album of love songs! (Not a kids album) Sounds wonderful too!!
On the home front, Jackson is really enjoying the school holidays. We went ice skating yesterday and he is hooked!!! He really wants Daddy to go on the ice with him tomorrow!! Rod never was very good at roller blading, so it should be pretty funny!!! Can’t wait!
We are also counting down the weeks until our new puppy arrives! We are getting a labradoodle!
Jackson and I are very excited and Rod is……cautious!! I’m sure he’ll fall in love!!!
I am a bit worried about all the poo!!! Oh well, every little boy needs to grow up with a dog I reckon!!
I recently performed at Jackson’s school fete and one thing lead to another and somehow now I am helping run a music program at his school for the GATS. (gifted and talented students) I am learning so many new abbreviations!!!
We are going to do a Michael Jackson Tribute concert and I am helping with the singing and performing!! It is so much fun!!
Our little boy is in the Kindy Rock Band playing the drums!!! So cute!!
I feel so lucky to be working with so many gorgeous students. It’s a lovely feeling being able to use my skills to help out the kids! Never knew how much joy it would bring.
Yes I mentioned Jacky is on the drums!
Rod is devastated! He really wants his son to be a guitar player!!!
We bought him a proper drum kit last week. It is gorgeous! I know I am a biased Mum, but I think he is incredible on the drums!!!
Rod says there is still time for him to become a guitar player!!!!
Anyway, I am back out on tour next week with the Songbirds!
Can’t wait to see the girls and little Harry!!
We’re in Victoria, so if you’re there come say hi!!!
Until next time, live well, laugh often and love much!!
Lots of love and happiness,
Gina x
